Yes. SalesIQ's Summer '26 BYOAI feature lets Answer Bot use native integrations with Zia, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, and DeepSeek for supported China data-center users, while other third-party, proprietary, or self-hosted models can connect through a webhook. SalesIQ keeps the bot grounded by selecting relevant resources from its knowledge library and passing that context to the chosen model.
Zoho says its own SalesIQ AI does not use customer data to train the AI model. When you enable an external AI integration, SalesIQ can send the information needed for that request to the provider; for example, Zoho documents consent before sharing SalesIQ chat transcripts and tags with OpenAI, while Answer Bot passes selected knowledge resources as context. If you use BYOAI, the external provider you select also has its own processing, retention, and training terms, so those must be reviewed separately.
Yes. The Codeless Bot Builder has a Forward to Operator action that can route a chat or call to available operators in a department or to selected operators. Zobot can also show a persistent human-handoff option during a conversation, and Zoho says Zia Agents escalate with conversation context when they cannot resolve the request themselves.
Yes. SalesIQ supports WhatsApp templates that let operators initiate or resume communication outside the normal 24-hour customer-service window, but the template must be approved under WhatsApp's rules. The Summer '26 release also adds proactive WhatsApp outreach by phone number and lets Zobot trigger approved template messages for use cases such as booking confirmations, follow-ups, and re-engagement.
Yes. The Zoho CRM integration can bring existing CRM customer details into SalesIQ and push website visitors back to CRM as leads or contacts. Zoho also documents visitor notifications and visit details inside CRM, plus the option to attach SalesIQ chat transcripts to the matching lead or contact record for later follow-up.
You can build rule-based Zobot flows without code using the Codeless Bot Builder's drag-and-drop cards and templates. You need more technical work when the flow requires custom logic or an action that is not available as a standard card; SalesIQ Plugs support those cases through Deluge scripts or webhooks. The product therefore supports genuinely no-code bot flows, but its deepest integrations are not always no-code.
Yes. Zoho documents Zobot and its codeless bot experience for up to 30 languages across supported channels including websites, mobile apps, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and LINE. Summer '26 adds one-click bot translation, while WhatsApp templates are separately documented for more than 70 languages, so the template-language count should not be confused with the chatbot's 30-language support.
SalesIQ can connect bot flows to external services through Plugs built with Deluge or webhooks, passing visitor inputs to an external service and returning the result to the conversation. Zia Agents can also pull context from webhooks, databases, records, and connected third-party apps. Zoho does not currently document n8n as a native SalesIQ connector, so an n8n implementation should be treated as a webhook or API integration rather than a built-in integration.
Yes. After integrating Zoho Desk, SalesIQ can sync published Desk knowledge-base articles into its article library, and the current BYOAI workflow can use the Zoho Desk knowledge base as a resource source for its Question Answering card. The integration can also create tickets from chats and automatically convert missed chats into tickets, which is why SalesIQ can sit in front of Desk without replacing the helpdesk itself.
Zoho SalesIQ combines visitor intelligence, live engagement, Zobot, Zia Agents, and AI chatbots, while Intercom includes a more complete native support stack with a shared inbox, ticketing, help center, and Fin AI Agent. SalesIQ Basic is $7 USD per operator per month billed annually with 25,000 bot chat sessions, while Intercom's standard Essential rate is $29 USD per seat per month billed annually before any temporary promotion and Fin starts at $0.99 per outcome. SalesIQ is the more predictable bundled-bot option, while Intercom is stronger when ticketing and help-center workflows must live in the same product.
