The AI workspace that works for you.

Notion AI is built into the Notion workspace, so its Agent can edit pages and databases, search workspace content, and use connected sources without moving the task into another app. It also lets users choose among current Claude, GPT, Gemini, and Grok model options when enabled, while Notion Business starts at $20/member/month paid yearly and includes Notion Agent, Enterprise Search, Research Mode, and AI Meeting Notes. Standalone assistants can also connect to Notion through Notion MCP, so the main distinction is native workspace context and actions versus using a separately licensed AI app through a connection.
Yes. Notion AI Connectors on Business and Enterprise can bring sources such as Slack, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, and Jira into search and Agent workflows, and Notion says initial ingestion can take up to 72 hours. The connectors respect existing source permissions, while Notion's current pricing table marks Jira, Box, OneDrive, Salesforce, and Asana connections as beta.
By default, Notion says neither Notion nor its AI subprocessors use Customer Data to train models, and its agreements with AI subprocessors prohibit them from training on that data. Customers can opt into Notion's AI LEAP program to share workspace data to improve underlying models. Without that opt-in, model training on Customer Data is not the default.
Yes, but capture quality depends on where you run it. The Notion desktop app can capture system audio and microphone input for virtual calls, while the browser only transcribes microphone input and can miss other participants when headphones are used; the mobile app records only what the phone microphone hears. Notion documents a daily AI Meeting Notes limit of 10 hours per user.
Notion AI can create databases with views, properties, and relations, and it can help write or edit formulas when a formula property already exists. Notion Agent has a narrower limit: its current help page says the Agent cannot create advanced properties such as formulas, rollups, or buttons. You can still use Notion AI inside the formula editor to generate or revise a formula.
Certain Notion AI features use both a rolling six-hour allowance and a monthly allowance on Business and Enterprise. If the six-hour allowance is exhausted, affected features pause until that window refreshes; if the monthly allowance is exhausted, they pause until the next billing cycle. Admins can enable Notion credits for additional usage, while AI Meeting Notes has its own 10-hour daily cap and Custom Agents use credits separately.
Yes. Custom Agents can run from schedules or workspace events and perform multi-step work across Notion and selected connected tools. These runs use a shared workspace balance of Notion credits, with 1,000 monthly credits priced at $10, and agents pause automatically if the workspace does not have enough credits.
Free and Plus workspaces can try Notion AI through a limited number of complimentary AI responses. Once those responses are used, Notion says an upgrade to Business or Enterprise is required to continue using Notion AI features. The complimentary usage is trial access, not an ongoing AI entitlement on Free or Plus.
Yes. Workspace owners can manage AI data sharing, AI Connectors, web search, and AI Meeting Notes availability, and Notion's Trust Center documents an Enterprise AI kill switch that can disable Notion AI features. Some controls are plan-specific, so Business and Enterprise workspaces do not have identical administrative options.
