Adobe renamed Premiere Pro to Adobe Premiere to represent one product family spanning the professional desktop application and Premiere on iPhone. The desktop application remains the full nonlinear editor, while the shorter brand name now covers both desktop and mobile experiences. The review therefore uses Adobe Premiere as the current name and keeps Premiere Pro only as historical context.
Adobe Premiere costs €26.43 per month including VAT in the Czech pricing state used by this review, on an annual commitment billed monthly, and emphasizes Frame.io, Dynamic Link with After Effects, and the wider Creative Cloud workflow. DaVinci Resolve 21 is free, while DaVinci Resolve Studio 21 is a $295 one-time purchase that adds the DaVinci AI Neural Engine, more effects, advanced HDR grading, and higher-format limits. Choose Premiere for Adobe collaboration and application handoff, or Resolve when integrated editing, Fusion effects, color, and Fairlight audio without a recurring desktop-software subscription matter more.
Adobe Premiere AI Assistant is a public beta that can organize footage into bins, rename and label clips, process transcripts, detect slates, add markers, create stringouts, and assemble a first cut from natural-language instructions. It currently works with media and project items already inside Premiere rather than external scripts or production notes. Every result remains an editable sequence, and the assistant records its actions in Premiere's Undo and History panels.
Adobe Premiere Media Intelligence can search footage using descriptions of visuals, spoken dialogue, and embedded metadata, while Text-Based Editing creates rough cuts by editing transcript text. Premiere on iPhone can send a copy of a project and its media to Adobe Premiere on desktop through Adobe cloud storage. The transfer is one-way, so later edits on mobile and desktop do not synchronize.
